August Moon Festival?
Quincy Asian Resources, Inc. (QARI) is proud to partner with the City of Quincy to host the 2019 August Moon Festival as Quincy’s Signature Event for the month of August.
The August Moon Festival is a momentous holiday that celebrates the harvest and the moon as symbols of prosperity, happiness and unity in Asian culture. This year marks the 32nd anniversary of the festival in Quincy, one of the largest August Moon Festivals in the Northeast, bringing together over 20,000 guests from all over Massachusetts for a celebration of music, arts, culture, and community spirit.
August Moon returns to its street festival roots and will be showcased in its brand new downtown location on Coddington Street and features new additions of an August Moon Remix with hip hop, rap and beatbox performances, a petting zoo, rides and food, food, food - from a taste of Asia to street fare and the area’s top restaurants….there is something for everyone!

Who can attend AMF?
Anyone. It’s geared for all ages and children friendly.
AMF is FREE admission and there is plenty of FREE street parking. Set GPS to navigate to 100 Coddington St., Quincy, and follow signs. Or park in nearby garage - Presidents Place Garage, 1250 Hancock Street ($5 flat rate on weekends)- just down the street from the festival.
Take the T~! It’s 2 minute walk from Quincy Center T.
NEW THIS YEAR….Free Bike Valet- Bike over to Thomas Crane Library and park your bike for free with QuinCycles.
What happens in case of rain?
A little rain...we are on!!! Bring an umbrella and join the fun! A lot of rain - we will take a rain check and make it happen the following week on Sunday, August 25, 2019. Check our website and Facebook for updates.
Is there a cost for admission?
The festival is FREE! And most attractions are free, free, free!
There is plenty of lawn seating, so grab some food from awesome food vendors, pull up a picnic blanket and watch the great performances.
In case of emergency:
QARI team will be by the main stage and lawn to answer any questions you have. If there is an emergency, you will find police and ambulance right by Newcomb street where the check-in is.
