Communications and Marketing Intern
Quincy Asian Resources Inc.’s Development Department is seeking an intern for 8-20 hours per week. An interest in the nonprofit sector, Asian-American culture, and working with the community is preferred. The Communications and Marketing Intern is responsible for QARI’s external communications, which include monthly email newsletter and special mailings, social media, press releases, and the organization's website. The position is perfect for communications or English majors with an interest in nonprofits, particularly serving the immigrant and underserved communities. Though some weekly presence at the office is required, much oof the work can be done remotely.
At QARI, not only are we looking of interns that will commit to the needs of the agency, but we are also dedicated to the learning and advancement of our interns.
Manage communications calendar
Compile and send out monthly email newsletter and special mailings for events
Manage social media accounts, make regular posts, generate following
Update website periodically, check website for out-of-date information
Write press releases
Exceptional writing skills
Close attention to detail, ability to multitask
An eye for photography
Familiarity with social media (Facebook, Twitter, SnapChat, Instagram)
Some experience with HTML and Wordpress is a big plus
Graphic design experience or artistic talent a plus
