Language Access:
Translation & Interpretation Services

In partnership with the City of Quincy Department of Planning and Community Development and Cross Cultural Communications Systems, Inc. (CCCS), QARI has launched a community interpretation training program to build local capacity among Quincy residents to provide translation and interpretation services. The goal of this program is to encourage and empower bilingual members of our community to become certified interpreters, and to increase access to available resources across Quincy.

Translation Services

QARI’s team is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Spanish, and Portuguese. QARI can translate flyers, brochures, letters, meeting handouts, academic documents, and other materials as requested.

Thanks to the support of the City of Quincy, the first cohort of Community Interpretation Training Program graduates completed the pilot certification course in April 2022 (pictured left).

Interpretation Services

QARI’s team can provide simultaneous or consecutive interpretation for individual meetings, public meetings, parent conferences, workshops, and other events hosted in person or online. Available languages are Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Consecutive Interpretation: the speaker often pauses between sentences and allows time for the interpreter to deliver the message.

Simultaneous Interpretation: interpreter translates in real time.
